Care Requirements

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water newly planted roses daily during their first season. Once established (after a year), two deep soaks per week during warm weather will keep them thriving. Apply a soil wetter in spring and again in mid-summer to improve water penetration. Feed every four weeks from late April to early May with a quality rose fertiliser. Prune in winter to encourage healthy new growth, and follow with a lime sulphur spray to help prevent fungal disease. Apply mulch to retain moisture, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.

At Dawson’s, all our roses are grafted onto Rosa Fortuniana—a rootstock renowned for its vigour, disease resistance, and performance in sandy or nematode-prone soils. Perfect for warm climates like WA, it consistently outperforms others, producing healthier plants and more blooms.
We hand-graft each rose on-site using traditional methods, ensuring the quality and hardiness Dawson’s is known for. With new releases from top breeders added each year, our roses are grown to thrive and bloom beautifully for years to come.

We aim to deliver your order within 2–3 business days (Monday to Friday). While we do our best to meet this timeframe, we can’t guarantee a specific delivery day or time. Deliveries take place between 8:00am and 5:00pm. If no one is home, our driver will leave your order in a safe place.
